looked through some of the TCG exclusive just now, and super rush recklessly caught my eye. No, no, not that the bull from charge recklessly is giving "heads" to Raiza, but its effect.
Effect: Select 1 face-up beast-type monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls. Destroy your monster, and return the opponent's monster to the deck.
I know that the konami website had posted about this card, and its effect with darksoul and green baboon, but there is something more to this card.
XX-saber galsem works pretty well with this card, since galsem lets you search for any x-saber monsters, providing you with another card searcher other than xx-saber darksoul.
since galsem pairs well with saber slash, it may very well justifies the need to include it in an x-saber deck, less reliant on darksoul as well.
Effect: This card cannot be special summon. This card returns to the owner's hand during the end phase of the turn that this card is normal summoned, flip summoned, or flipped face up. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent's life points, your opponent must discard all cards in his/her hand during the next draw phase before they draw.
i was doing a research the other day about the high level monsters that can potentially fit into a frog deck, other than the usual dark dust spirit etc. until i saw this card!
giving 2 tributes for this monster is not an issue for a frog deck once you had filled the grave with essential materials.
the advantage that this card brings far outweigh the disadvantage brought about by this card. discarding the entire hand is totally devastating. can you imagine your entire hand vanishes into thin air when this guy inflicts battle damage to you?
cold wave serves a good protection, if not giant trunade is even better. giant trunade your opponent, and attack him safely, drops the entire spell & trap! better than heavy storm, since no need to worry about starlight road.
Infernity is an irritating yet devastating deck. Especially in the OCG where trishula lives, and losing your field, hand and grave in one turn is not fun at all. Though you can counter it with dust tornado, royal oppression, raioh, crack from different dimension, d.d.crow, activating the right cards at the right moment is the key to fully counter this deck.
Effect: When this card is normal summoned, it is changed to defense position. While you have no cards in your hand, this card gains the following effect: Once per turn, you can special summon 1 "infernity" monster from your graveyard, except "Infernity Necromancer".
Effect: When you have no cards in your hand and draw this card, you can reveal it to special summon it. When this card is special summoned, if you have no cards in your hand, you can add 1 "infernity" card from your deck to your hand.
Effect: While you have no cards in your hand, you can tribute this card to special summon up to 2 "Infernity Beetle" from your deck.
I have posted the 3 main monster cards to doing the trishula loop, and the key card to thwart the loop lies in book of moon!I will list two ways of doing this loop, and book of moon plays an important part to stop it, or at least hinders the loop to a large extend.
CASE 1
infernity gun special summons beetle and necromancer, now, opponent wishes to use the ignition effect of necromancer to special summon archfiend. You MUST now, book of moon its beetle when opponent wishes to use necromancer's effect. resulting in him having no tuners on the field to perform a synchro summon.
CASE 2
infernity gun special summons beetle and necromancer, opponent wishes to use the ignition effect of beetle, to special summon 2 more beetle. you MUST now book of moon the necromancer, to stop its ignition effect to special summon the archfiend and start the loop.
CASE 3
infernity gun special summons beetle and archfiend, you MUST now chain book of moon to archfiend's trigger effect on beetle before it is too late to do so, because the trigger effect of archfiend, "eats" up his priority to activate the ignition effect of beetle.and most likely in this case, even if you let him fetches the gun from the deck (which cant be stopped anyway, unless you divine wrath its archfiend), there will be two more beetles in his deck, thereby having no tuners on field, you successfully stopped their loop.
of course, there may be other cases, but the principle still stays the same, do not wait until he fetches whatever he requires and then you book of moon the tuners. it will be too late by then and he would want to tribute his beetle for 2 more beetles.and 1 book of moon will not be sufficient.
I believe naturia decks will become a meta soon with the release of this card: naturia pineapple.
Effect: All face-up monsters you control are treated as plant type. If this card is in your graveyard during your standby phase, and you control no spell or trap card, you can special summon this card. This effect cannot be activated if you control a face-up "Naturia Pineapple" or if there are any monsters in your graveyard that are not plant or beast-type.
first impression of this card is " OMG, naturia has just gotten their very own treeborn frog!"
What makes this so good can be attributed to its very own special summon ability, that gives you an immediate tribute for naturia bamboochute!
and getting the naturia bamboochute out early can lock your opponent down easily, with a decent 2000ATK/DEF, it can be rather difficult to get rid of, and attacking it for 4 times seals the game.
the belief that it is going to cause a shift in the meta is due to the same reason why there is a frog monarch when treeborn frog is at 2. and it is going to be playable at 3 when it is going to release.
Naturia is famous for its game-locking ability with powerful monsters like naturia beast, naturia balkion, naturia cosmobeet and naturia rosewhip!
with the release of new supports( i hope so) for this theme, a storm invading the meta surely is in the progress!
