the complexity of the law cases and ratios and obiters really made my head spin, so i decided to take a break out and blog about this concept.
Effect: You can Special Summon this card (from your Graveyard) by returning 1 face-up "Dark World" monster you control to the hand, except "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World". If this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, then, if this card was discarded from your hand to your Graveyard by an opponent's card effect, look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand, then, if it was a monster, you can Special Summon it to your side of the field.
i was trying to play around this concept of dumping grapha everytime with drill, for some destruction love. so basically a doppel deck becomes an engine that resolves around drill + grapha. after some decking testing, i have the following findings:
Pros:
1. Free destruction as and when u need, provided drill is on field.
2. monster presence is so strong, i played 1 snow and 2 grapha to allow the special summon of grapha by returning snow to hand. if not your grapha will be as good as die when he got milled into grave and you will have to rely on drill to take him back.
3. ideal situation would be having 1 grapha in grave and another 1 on field(special summoned by returning snow) plus snow in hand. grapha protects you with a 2700ATK, as oppose to dandy tokens(when there are still 2 dandys playable, miss those times!) we used to have for protection.
4. reference to point 3, the returning of drill allows you to have an alternative decision. in that you dont have to take back grapha if there is nothing for you to destroy, you can take some other monsters depending on the situation.
cons:
1. hate bottomless, warning, prison etc. you will end up losing advantages after eating all those.
2. dont really have an efficient way to getting this combo to work, more consistent engine needed!
other than that, it is a very interesting concept to play around with, given that dandy had pretty much stagnant. maybe a few minor changes here and there for personal reference, otherwise the main engine is there and the same.
a decklist that im currently playing for you, still need a lot of fixes and mods. comments welcome!
as mentioned, main purpose is to get drill out fast. so jester and fader is there. decree is there to stop all the trap hates!

I tried Quick DW before, but I ran Volcanic Shell and more DW stuffs (DWDx3). I'll try your Doppel Quick DW later ^^
have thought about adding in volcanic shell but dont really like the idea. since you have to normal summon the volcanic shell, if the summoning doesnt go through, be it volcanic shell or drill you will be wasting 1 normal summon. playing jester get ride of this problem and allows you to normal summon should the plan fail. hence jester is there.

I like the idea a lot. I'm a bit uncomfortable with Royal Decree, but I suppose it would make sense since I think OCG Duelists use more traps than TCG Duelists.
I test this today, really fun deck to play...
I used also broww for draw engine and add Debris Dragon, I dont have royal decree so the traps were really annoying, instead I played some call of haunted to be able to repeat some plays
yeah, very fun with the grapha bombing and stuff.LOL. thats y royal decree is a must to stop all the traps.
I lost my shooting star in a Dimensional Prison... need to play with more caution
thats why you need the decree!haha
