Since angel is the meta now, and Hyperion, being their boss should be given a little more attention.
coincidentally, we have the movie "immortals" coming up in November, which is a must watch movie for me, so i guess it is about time that we share some information about him.
taken from wikipedia:
Hyperion:
Hyperion (Greek Ὑπερίων, "The High-One") was one of the twelve Titan gods of Ancient Greece, the sons and daughters of Gaia (the physical incarnation of Earth) and Ouranos (literally meaning 'the Sky'), which were later supplanted by the Olympians.[1][2] He was the brother of Cronus. He was also the lord of light, and the Titan of the east. He was referred to in early mythological writings as Helios Hyperion (Ἥλιος Υπερίων), 'Sun High-one'.
according to the movie:
Years after the Titanomachy, the Titan Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) declares war on humanity. He searches for the Epirus Bow, a legendary weapon created by the war god Ares (Daniel Sharman), which will allow him to free the rest of the Titans from Tartarus and take revenge on the Olympians who brought about their downfall. In accordance with ancient laws, the gods are unable to take a side in the war between Hyperion and humanity. It is left to a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill), chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans) and accompanied by the priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and a slave named Stavros (Stephen Dorff), to protect his homeland and save the gods.
after reading the intro on immortals, realized that Hyperion is not someone of good character. LOL. initially i thought he was and thats why we have him inside the angel structure deck. haha. guess i was wrong.
its really nice to see how yugioh incorporates these myths and legends into the game and we can learn more about these legends by checking up. in other words, yugioh is a kind of educational game after all? haha!
anyway, hope u all can support this movie and love it as much as i do, even though i havent watch it yet. by the way, i am not doing any sort of advertisment for the film. LOL. just sharing i thought might be interesting and side track from yugioh for a while. =)
